Behind The Scenes

- Lorraine Granier, Author -
Lorraine was born in a rural town near
New Orleans, Louisiana in the USA. She grew
up happily on a sugar cane farm within a large family. As a child she found inspiration and lessons for life from farm animals, tiny creatures and
family members alike.
She became a happy wife and mother of four children. Residing on a ranch in rural Florida, she was inspired daily by growing garden plants, rare wetland flowers and many native critters. Honored as a loving mother, grandmother and eventually
a great-grandmother, she took great joy in writing, telling and reading her inspiring poems
and stories to everyone.
- D. St. Lorraine, Illustrator -
Ms. St. Lorraine developed an early childhood fascination for drawing animals. Encouraged by instructors and especially her mother, she pursued perfecting her artistic skills all the way through college where she majored in Fine Arts and Communications. She and her mother partnered together in the development of the The Ant, the Rope and the Tree © as an author-illustrator team. After many iterations
and years of dedication to this labor of love,
she is delighted to finally see it published
for all to enjoy!
